Might be a bit of a stretch. He's a naturally extremely powerful esper but in-universe its not treated as special or anything to be proud of. Nobody really cares, it certainly doesn't impress women or make him popular. He's got a shitty part time job underutilizing his talents. Other than that he's an awkward, dopey loner who gets into lifting as a hobby for self improvement, and all the other gymbros he hangs out with respect his drive for that specifically.
