It's because we started trading with China. That was the turning point.
If you look at Sunbeam, I saw a Sunbeam review page once, when I was looking for a stand mixer for the kitchen.
Every.Single.Review. was 1/5
All except one.
I read the review that gave it 5/5. And it reads "I bought my sunbeam back in 1970, I've had it reconditioned once. It still works great to this day."
Fucking thing is over 50 years old!
