Their paper describes sharing resources using packet switching among network nodes. Later known as Transmission Control Protocol. TCP broke into a modular architecture consisting of the TCP and IP, or Internet Protocol. This later became known as TCP/IP and is attributed to accelerating the velocity of data more than one thousand times and the cost of delivery approaching near zero.
