This is not quite accurate. While there are Jewish nationalists and extremists (e.g. Baruch Goldstein), the policy of state of Israel is not even close to what Russians do in Ukraine. “What Israel does to Palestinians” is supplying 100% of their electricity, gas, water, food, medicines. Israeli decades-long negotiations resulted in the very creation of Palestinian Autonomy and Palestinian Autonomy Authority, including Israeli disengagement from Gaza, including forced removal of Israeli settlers:

What happened next, was Hamas winning elections, then taking Gaza by force and killing all Palestinian political opposition who were keen to negotiate peace with Israel:

At this point, anyone who had hoped for a lasting peace on both sides very much lost these hopes, which opened doors for hardliners in Israel. This turn of events however was to be expected from Hamas, whose openly declared goal is physical eradication of Jews and the state of Israel, very much like Russia’s declared goal is eradication of Ukraine.
