I see what you mean. The SNP plan depends on a very slow and sensible path involving a slow building of public opinion and devolved power, plus negotiation with a reasonable Westminster government.

Another factor is that EU is going to become more markedly fascistic-influenced after this June's election so leaving a UK for that will become less attractive for Scottish voters.
