Lightning bitcoin is just bitcoin, but put in a teleportation capsule so they can be teleported directly to its destination instead of being transported over congested roads. Like with any teletransportation though, smaller objects are easier to move than larger ones. So while Lightning is perfect for smaller amounts, it’s more difficult when moving larger sums. Additionally, prolonged or excessive exposure to teleportation radiation can be unhealthy, in the same way you shouldn’t expose too much of your Bitcoin on Lightning if you are not going to teleport it.
