Did the Romans invent the principles of conquest, dehumanisation and exploitation of the weak /poor? Probably the Egyptians and others did that before them.
Is it a cultural or biological thing? I don't know, how can we know? Maybe it doesn't matter so much: either way, we are supposed to be more "advanced" now, given that we have more experience as a species and a lot more tools available, and we should all stop the exploitative patterns, but clearly we aren't going in that direction...😣
