#WritersCoffeeClub What's your favourite trope? Do you lean into it for your work or shy away?

I lean in heavy on the two I use the most:

First is found family/chosen family; second is "different is magic" (though a queer lens).

I don’t know if insistent queer history has hit "trope" status, but that, too. (ie: we’ve always been here).
