My neighbor who hasn’t seen me in a while said to me “You look like you’ve put on some weight.” It’s unclear whether it was a factual observation or meant judgmental. I responded, “I worked really hard to gain weight. I was very underweight before, but I’m healthy now.”
Perhaps it was the sweatpants combined with my autism acceptance t-shirt. People associate sweatpants with giving up and letting go of caring about one’s appearance. I’ll just choose to see it as a good thing.
