Helping us all avoid consequences that come from not doing it. Those consequences are often directly or indirectly felt by all of society including your family and friends.
These are real problems that directly cause perpetual oppression worldwide. They are directly responsible for endless war and poverty. And it's most felt in third world countries.

Indifference to awareness and knowledge is detrimental to society and the world, especially people in the most oppressive parts of the world. I am100% for democracy by the way. It's pretty awful that the people who choose to be uninformed also decide elections and the systems that run the world.
