I'm not an expert on the matter (neither #fediverse #ActivityPub nor #BS #ATproto). But so far it seems, that the protocol is pretty much under control of BS at the moment and there were no real federation right now (only use of custom domain names).
What I see is: I know a number and institutions of people (dozens) with a BS account, and interestingly all of them ended up on the same instance, not even one on a different instance — how comes? 🙂
I'll wait with using BS until there is at least one independent instance in the EU.
And I'm not going to join the same billionaire who ran Twitter.
