It's still always confusing as hell to me when I've casually known someone for a long time, not bothered to be particularly on point with my voice, or presentation, or anything else with them, I just assume they knew I was trans, and I mention something about being trans and they're surprised by that fact. Like ... Are cis people just really that oblivious?
