🇪🇺 Europe's #AFIR, the regulation for public #EV charging 🔌 that came into force in 2024, was supposed to increase price transparency and competition by requiring non-discriminatory pricing. However, in Germany 🇩🇪 in particular, charging point operators are introducing the opposite: moderate prices through their own (locked-in) channels, (extremely) high prices for everyone else.
And the responsible German authority, the Bundeskartellamt, refuses to intervene.
