I'm looking to find "The Daring Young Man in the Flying Trapeze," Anton Saroyan, I believe.
It held me up somehow, another vagabond, exiled.
I think "Quo Vadis" was like the "Star Wars" of 1950s religious boys.
It has evertyhing, sacrifice, torture, an evil enemy (great performance from #PeterUstinov as Nero btw) Heroes and villians.
So many cults sprang up after that, the whole Jesus revolution when the boys grew up in the late 60s.
I dreamt of being devoured by beasts for 20 years after watching that movie as a child.
Christianity is a death cult.
