The #Ouessant or Breton Dwarf are the smallest sheep breed in #France (45-49 cm tall). They originate from the island of Ouessant where they lived isolated until the 20th c., and were nearly extinct. In Paris they were kept to mown the lawn in parks. And they were used for wool. Hobby breeders saved the still rare breed.
