Is 'coronary heart disease' related to 'coronary artery calcium score'? I had that done two years ago and they found 'definite, at least moderate atherosclerotic plaque', but of course offered me nothing but some pills, which I didn't take.
I assumed it was age, but my (5yr older) wife then had it done a year later and they said they found ZERO, so I was kind of concerned, but have no idea what to do.
I've always been someone who could eat absolute crap without immediate or short term problems, (meaning upset stomached etc), but I'm thinking 'enjoying' that for many many years may have helped cause the problem.
For the last few years I've been keto, but when the wife is away or out for the night I'd go get chinese and some tastykakes etc for dinner and desert. Because of my 'iron stomach' I'd be 'fine' and get back to keto the next day, but now I'm confident I was still doing long term harm..?
Don't want to waste more of your time, but if you have any good resources that talk about 'coronary artery calcium' could you share them so I might get an idea of what I have and what I can do about it?
