I recently deleted Telegram. Lost a lot of access to interesting groups, but Telegram (and Discord too) are awfully bad at privacy.
We’re building technology free from surveillance, it’s not so complicated to run a Mattermost instance on your own server and open that to your users.

telegram is a spyware run by dishonest people. Durov's FUDding that signal is insecure because of his conspiracy theory, yet not having end to end encryption for groups, with "we encrypt our database" security was hopefully eye opening for most. I never used Telegram for anything, it's very suspicious.
