I'm not a political commentator, but I play one on Mastodon. The debate is being played for 3 types of audiences. Those who worry about water pressure, sharks, lathering shampoo. Those who worry about freedom, democracy the rule of law, and then there's billionaires. It is ridiculous to hear about the expectations of the 2 candidates and how their performance will be measured. We have an audience that craves a cage fight regardless of what is said, an audience who will judge their candidates by how presidential they will be and ultimately the ones that are investing millions to gain favors and access to the White House. Freedom, democracy and the rule of law, we need to protect it for generations to come. We need to vote for that, and as an extra bonus, you will be defeating billionaires, including currupt justices in a small battle. That is how you win wars, winning small battles, and it is time we realize we are in one.
