Neko (nprofile…h4yc) weren't the C bits exactly why the project died so hard? (mem leaks so bad even the perl ffi adjacent developers couldn't unravel it iirc), which is why even offering to help finish it was hard when HEAD was in a state that didn't run anymore
seems silly to say it helps with porting, when doing it all in perl would mean nothing needs porting
