Fine, as you say for the middle classes, unless they get something not covered by their insurance, of course...
And then when you look at the general (aggregated) health outcomes for the USA the social costs are clear... but as you say, a large chunk of potentially vocal opponents to the system are shielded from the consequences by their wealth and/or employers
