A 70 year old fried collapsed and died in the toiet of his private room - on an NHS ward his life would probably have been saved. The only time my partner used his work-provided BUPA, he had a tonsillectomy from a dodgy practitioner, developed bleeding and was told to take a taxi back to the Lewisham practice. I decided we should go to A&E at nearby Charing Cross. He haemorrhaged in the room there.
