John Oliver did a great piece on the "pig butchering" complex of scams that you should watch. As Zeke Faux discovered in his research for the book Number Go Up, online romance/friendship scams, powered by enslaved human trafficking victims, are being used to inflate the cryptocurrency economy. The fewer people who fall for these scams, the less of a market there will be for forced labor and, incidentally, cryptocurrencies.
