Today is our anniversary.
We surprised everyone by running off to Reno to get married after living together for sixteen years.
We giggled our way through our vows in front of Elvis and his crew.
When we told the family my daughter said "You crazy kids."
The next year my husband found out he had cancer for the first time. I think we got married when we were supposed to. I'm not sure either of us needed a license to cement our commitment but so far it hasn't hurt either.
It has been my great honor to be his partner for the long haul.
We are still happier together than apart and that's enough. Summer agrees.
It's another beautiful day here, but Summer and I are staying close to home until har pal is a little more steady.
