If you haven't checked it out already,
https://data.gov has a trove of public datasets open to the pubic. I'm currently gathering info on all the recalled products known by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
You can sign up for a free API Key here:
https://api.data.gov/signup/. I just use a throw away name and email address as nothing goes through a verification process.
