Amethyst was trying a softer version of this. If #x of your follows have the account blocked, then it gets hidden from your feed by default.
The problem is, that it gives a lot of censorship power to the people with big followers.
It caused some drama. Especially the idea of doing this by default.
In the end, Amethyst was pushed to make it optional.
