Awwwww, good morning, Stu.

We don't know each other, but as a former 15-y.o. girl (worse, back in the 90s with VERY BIG HAIR and blue Wet N Wild mascara), I can attest to the fact that there is NOTHING in her life more important than this precious self-time. Even if the neighbors have been beeping that horn progressively louder for the last (I'm ashamed to say it) FIFTEEN minutes. Every goddamn day.

I honestly don't know why anyone put up with that sh-t. 🫣

Someday maybe she'll recognize that she's actually a morning person and learn to replace that precious self-time in the am with something more meaningful and peaceful and generate her own soul-care routine. I'm still thirty years later always rushing out the door late, but I ALWAYS enjoy my morning, listening to the birds and slowly drinking my coffee. (It's all about prioritizing. 😉) For many years (during my stint in Corporate America when I was a bit more go-getter), there was even a bit of time for the YMCA in there... but still always that same chaotic rush at the end. Hmmmmm... seems to be a theme.

Point is, you did the right thing by leaving on time. Probably a better teaching experience if you don't make two trips. The people who indulged me were actually ENABLING me, which taught me very bad habits.

Recommend to have a conversation about being a team player. It's possible to do both, but we cross the line when we inconvenience everyone else.

These are important life skills. It's not too late to learn them and they will serve her well when she's in the real world and needs to be on time. 🤗
