I genuinely believe that almost all products that are marketed to help you be more productive are doing the reverse. I think Slack is bad for your company. I think screening potential hires through automation is terrible. I think every “portal” for customers / clients is a waste of time and energy.

These kinds of solutions put more steps between you and the action being done. And worse, it doesn’t leave you with any skill to accomplish those kinds of tasks. It just makes you numb.
