This was in 2018 when that Thai soccer team got trapped in the flooded cave. Apparently they were worried the kids would panic during the rescue attempt when swimming through the very long and narrow cave so they put them under anesthesia and tied them up with zip ties.
Saw this all in the move 13 Lives on prime, the move was ehh OK but the story was cool.
