I ultimately skipped over the technical details because while they are interesting, they aren't going to really ever be relevant to most people, and the only time it'll be relevant to me is if I start contributing to or starting various projects, something most people will definitely not do.
Most people will not understand, much less care about, the technical details. The goal of this sort of analogy is to help the average user who might be struggling to understand how federation works at a basic conceptual level. In that regard, I'd say it works, and although I understand the frustration of it causing general confusion about the actual technical details, people developing or contributing to projects will learn about that on their own anyway so I don't think it's a big deal.
Other than that, this was a nice read! Myth #2 was interesting in particular, I knew they deviated but had no idea of how much.
