At the very least it's night and day from when I was a kid. Nobody gave a shit back then. If it were me I'd take it in good faith - even if the feelings aren't sincere (no way to know) at least they didn't refuse to engage with the process. A and I talked about P3's bully the other night and basically came to the conclusion "maybe he (the bully) has issues and deserves sympathy, but also fuck that guy, we're Team P3"
