Respectfully- and not directed to you really just generally

I know I was never actually on Twitter but lurked on Nitter which was a gateway to Dr Jeff and many others which led here.

I think say Bitcoin University focus on you tube is probably a much more effective gateway to nostr as well.

I cannot myself sometimes square messages I interpret on this forum (not from you, just my amalgamation) that seem to simultaneously say:
- spread the message of nostr bitcoin in person to people you know and
- self custody single sig and
- don’t actually let anyone know you have bitcoin to avoid 5 dollar wrench attack and
- got to use bitcoin for real peer to peer transactions in daily life
- stack sats all the time but don’t use any of the obvious straightforward easy ways to actually buy them (eg Coinbase?) instead use some other much harder way using some non kyc path

I know that I am a noob and somehow all that makes sense together but it sure does always at the same time to me. And even as a noob I bet I am miles ahead of normies out there. But that took work and it was a lot easier because some people with high integrity influenced from Nitter and you tube.

There is no doubt there is an advantage to strengthening a tribe by casting out those not towing the pure loyalty line.

But there is a risk of just creating echo chambers as well. And those least likely to have the time energy and ability to find hidden rabbit holes are probably the people that need it the most (busy parents, hard working poorer people, those who are too poor or ignored by trad finance, youth ).

I myself think if Bitcoin is early then it’s way too early to ask high integrity people to pull off of non nostr platforms. Let them try to reach the masses.
