[migrated to blacksky.co.uk] (nprofile…ktpc) I don't know how it is this bad. I don't remember KDE 4 being bad when I ran it ages ago on a weak laptop.
I do know that QT more or less only really uses CPU for rendering, which is pretty disappointing in 2025, but it shouldn't be this bad. People say gnome is heavy and shit but it always is at 60fps for me while using less power than KDE.
