There's a fun little argument that I've never actually got into along the lines of "I'd rather just play things I know than gamble on what I don't", which is actually a very reasonable argument, but I offer swat to people that are bitching about new games that they haven't played, or are just trying out, so that sort of argument would be hypocrisy.
