Long before shabby chic (is that still chic?) and home improvement shows, the glass canning jar showed its mettle by not only holding preserved goods for the season, but served as a vase for flowers, a drinking glass, a receptacle for odds and ends, all sorts of things.
It's retro, nostalgic, and timeless. I wonder, in the future, will the plastic milk jug be the same?
