Is this not how Matrix allows multiple devices to decrypt the same chat?
Ofc you don't have to do it the Matrix way, but ideally, easily exposing your encrypted messages to a half dozen different devices shouldn't even be easily possible, and it only takes one idiot to expose the whole thing.
Not to mention, a separate issue, if you're hosting a server, it's VERY easy to impersonate a user. That's an inconvenience in public, but if you're operating with the expectation of privacy, it can be life ruining, depending on the context.
You want only professionals operating e2ee service.
