I've heard that old trope for years, listening to a prostitute explain that it's just like typing. I could not imagine what she thought typing was like, but as I was a typeSETTER at the time I found it a bizarre comparison. Typing is not an intimate activity but I've generally found sex to be.
With our porn-saturated cultures we can hardly be surprised at the naivete of the young. I am saddened by the fact that they will learn and it will be painful.
