I’ve said before that I believe everyone has at LEAST one TV show from childhood that explains them – offers a philosophy of life, tugs at an unmet need, illustrates an ideal world.

Now I’m extending that theory to show rewatches: which 70s or 80s crime drama/melodrama/police procedural/whatever offer comfort in the present? What does the weird old show you’re watching right now say about your mood, or how you feel about your place in the world?

This has to make sense to a few of you!
