A friend from our cruising days died. Famous for eating five balls of gelato a day, he thoroughly enjoyed life and when he no longer could climb onto a sailboat, they switched to living on a powerboat, making them one of the very few stinkpot cruisers we've met.
He literally shone us a light on one of our worst nights aboard, from his deck onto ours.
