TBH, I just don't think the solution is renewable energy _alone_. It is a problem with scale: you can't manage the energy crisis without scaling down human consumption. .My intention was not to support the fossil fuel industry; if it came off that, I apologise. My point was rather that the picture painted in one's mind when hearing about switching to renewables is living holistically among nature but in the way we are heading, the alternative path will simply be another kind of concrete jungle. Not mentioning the crazy scaling problem is simply lying IMO.
A lot of alt-solutions to reverse climate change is simply infeasible (I'm mainly thinking of CO2 capture and reuse (reusing into fuel again ofc)). The solution is to let go of human greed.
