A real question. Let's say I want to consider an Android device, and I would like to have:
1) Confidence that I can install a current-gen, getting-updates, not-preshipped-abandonware version of Android on it, and
2) The ability to replace the battery in it (screwdriver OK, heat gun not ok), and
4) Some hope of being able to buy a protective case for it.
What are my options here, if any? Samsung something or other? Xiaomi something. Last I looked the answer here was "pixel or nothing".
