Standing firm and weathering the challenges with grace is what builds resilience, confidence and capacity
Earlier this week Willow developed fever and was very uncomfortable. The deep helplessness I felt as a parent watching my little girl suffer without being able to help is one of the more painful things I’ve experienced in life
After a sleepless night and a hard 24 hours, Willow was back to her happy, playful self and the experience brought Tash and I immense gratitude for our health, our partnership, our ability to act as a team
It made me appreciate the beauty of a simple life connected to nature even more
Without pain and suffering there cannot be true joy. The polarity of extremes is the true nature of the human experience
Lesson: everything is temporary and the goal is to suffer well
Prayer and connection to Mother Earth offers immense strength during hard times
