Continuing in my quest with engagement bait, the Nintendo 64 is like one of the most fascinating consoles ever made architecturally, but held back by an abysmally poor game library. Its saving grace, though, are the games that are good on it are really, really fucking good.

Hard pressed to find better 3D games from that era than Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time tbh. It has a few good shooters but I feel neither Goldeneye or Perfect Dark hold a candle to Medal of Honor on the PlayStation or Powerslave on the Saturn.
