The great thing is this idea isn't particularly new: the VA, FHA, and USDA have had several programs over the years to ensure more access to home ownership opportunity for working families. In other words, the agencies and policy makers already have the blueprint to implement this option.
We can say firsthand that *this works*. Two of our members are married to each other, we bought our first home as FHA first-time homebuyers. That was over 25 years ago. We want our kids to have the same opportunities we had. We are certain a Harris-Walz administration will deliver that. We are equally certain a Trump-Vance administration will not.
