I was surprised recently when SF author John Scalzi deleted his X account completely, even though he's a sizable fish & certainly has trolls who love to cause him trouble. (He discusses this decision at https://whatever.scalzi.com/2024/11/11/twitter-the-final-exit/) As of today, his old account is still non-existent.
