i use apple music and often the apple music web player on my computers. my default browser is mozilla firefox, which on my pop os always gives the error that the apple music web player can't run on my browser. however, when i tried running it on brave browser, it always runs in preview mode, as if i don't have a subscription. later, i found out this is because of an extension i haven't installed called widevine by google. after further googling, i learned it's for DRM. i never install any pop-ups prompted by websites. now i realize this is why i'm able to screen share netflix with my friend when we watch movies together on my other machine. when she shares, she often gets a black screen and can never share, which i guessed was because of DRM (digital rights management). but never in my wildest guess did i presume that i could share simply because i didn't have the extension installed.
