I think there are some really good doctors here on Mastodon who take long covid seriously and are working to educate colleagues. But there are too many others who can't be bothered. It irks me any time a medical professional falls back on 'psychosomatic' when what they really mean is 'I have no idea and it's not my problem.' Doctors used to dismiss menstrual cramps as female hysterics in my grandmother's day. We make progress, but Lordy, it feels so slow.
