Younger people might not realize this, but when Columbine happened, it dominated the news for weeks. How long do you reckon it would be national news today? Two days, maybe three? I just hate how numb we are to these mass shootings. I feel like we collectively treat it like an outbreak of severe weather: A random deadly occurrence no one can do anything about, instead of an ongoing, preventable, predictable, systemic failure.
