👉 [ENG] Personally, I believe that the so-called YouTube frontend known as INVIDIOUS, available for instance at https://yewtu.be/, is sheer cunning. It's promoted as an ethical way of using YouTube content. Why do I consider Invidious to be unethical? Because if you have a problem with using YouTube, you shouldn't exploit someone's work as a content creator, whose income often comes from ads, traffic monetization (the possibility of attracting sponsors or product placement in a popular channel).

Therefore, Invidious is a cunning way to bypass and under the pretext of hiding from big corporates and tracking, exploit the work of others. You don't like YouTube, paid YouTube or big corporates? Fine, create an ethical portal like Peertube, host content there and watch free and ethical content.

I learn a lot of interesting things here and interesting approaches to the topic "ethical stuff" and "open network" (big LOL for blocking META campaing). I understand that dumpster diving can be a form of recycling, climate protection, and a lifestyle, a sort of hipster lifestyle... wearing second-hand clothes is now back in fashion. However, connecting to a neighbor's electricity for which he pays, is unethical... to not use another word.

👉 [PL] osobiście uważam, że tzw. front do YT pod nazwą INVIDIOUS dostępny na np. domenie https://yewtu.be/ to czyste cwaniactwo. Promuje się tutaj to jako etyczną formę korzystania z treści YT. Dlaczego ja uważam, że indivious jest nieetyczny? Dlatego, że jeśli masz problem z korzystaniem z YT, to nie wykorzystuj czyjejś pracy jako content creatora, którego źródłem dochodu są często reklamy, monetyzacja ruchu (możliwość zebrania sponsorów albo product placement w popularnym kanale).

Indivious zatem to takie cwaniackie obejście i pod pozorem ukrycia się przed big corpo i śledzeniem wykorzystywanie pracy innych. Nie podoba się YT, płatny YT albo big corpo proszę bardzo załóż tak jak peertube etyczny portal, hostuj treści i tam sobie oglądaj darmowe i etyczny content.

Poznaję tu dużo ciekawych rzeczy i ciekawych podejść do tematu "etyczności" i "otwartości" (patrz fediblock i wielkie LOL dla kampanii blokowania META). Rozumiem, że grzebanie po śmietnikach może być formą recyclingu, ochrony klimatu i sposobem na sposób życia, taki hipsterski life style... wraca teraz do mody używanie ciuchów second hand. Jednak podłączanie się do prądu sąsiada za który on płaci, jest mało etyczne... żeby nie użyć innego słowa.
