The two #abusive #friends that I escaped were some of the worst I've encountered. And they were identical. They both went out of their way to buy you things even when it didn't fit the occasion and when we didn't know each other well enough for that generosity. I told myself that some people are just super nice and giving. But no, they're not because they have boundaries and real relationships start on equal footing and gradually become more open. Only #narcissists rush #relationships.
