I've just been thinking spontainiously about something. Maybe you can tell me if it makes sense.
The main problem with #Cashu is trusting the mint. So what if a network of mints insure each other?
So you don't have to trust a single mint, but instead your ecash is backed up by the network.
The lightning nodes(mints) would need to make normal lightning contracts containing a secret tied to the ecash. So if one node goes down not paying out the ecash another node can claim the sats in their channel and then payout the ecash user.
